While this class is beginner-friendly, we highly recommend taking our Intro to Hair Braiding workshop first — especially if you're brand new to braiding.

It covers key fundamentals like:
• What a braid is and why we braid
• Cultural significance
• Hand placement, tension drills, and prep
• Basic 3-strand technique

Taking Intro to Braiding first will help you feel more confident and get the most out of this session — especially as we move into more detailed styles like French and Dutch braiding.
We keep the base cost accessible so you can choose how you participate:

How to part and prep for clean braids

Finger placement, grip, and control for 3-strand, French & Dutch styles

Identifying tension and hand positioning issues
